Dying Light: The Beast safes and lockers are camouflaged throughout Old Town, the Farmlands, and the Villa areas. Some are locked to notes, puzzles, or side quests, and others are tucked within motels and shops. Opening them rewards you with weapons, equipment, or unique collectables. Presented below is the entire list of 31 safe codes and special unlocks, all with a brief description of how to access them.
Safe Codes and Locations in Dying Light: The Beast
Old Town Railway Station Safe – 12 25 55
Inside the Old Town railway station offices near the main platforms. Head upstairs into the manager’s office and you’ll spot the safe tucked against the wall.
Emil’s Brick School Safe – 05 40 90
Located in Emil’s Brick School in the Villa district. Go into the room with the whiteboard puzzle — solve it to find the safe code, and the safe is just nearby.
Villa Area Vanity Store Safe – 02 02 19
In the back room behind the counter of the Villa shopping area’s vanity store. Go behind the counter to find the hidden safe behind clutter.
Town Hall Winning Safe – 11 51 16
Within the Town Hall complex. Find the office with a “winning” poster on the wall — the safe is within a cabinet there.
Town Hall Love Letter Safe – 14 11 20
Also located in Town Hall. A love letter note is a clue to where this safe is located; look in the side office adjacent to the main hall to discover it.
Old Town Hotel Safe – 07 06 01
In the northernmost hotel in Old Town. Go in through the lobby, and the safe will be hidden behind the reception counter.
Old Town Experiment on the Infected Safe – 15 22 40
In a secret science laboratory in Old Town. Activate UV light on the whiteboard to find the code, then unlock the safe in the same room.
Hydro-Puzzle Safe (1) – 27 01 15
Unlocked during the Hydro-Puzzle side quest. Search the flooded building’s basement area, where the safe is partly hidden in debris.
Hydro-Puzzle Safe (2) – 21 69 35
Also part of the Hydro-Puzzle quest. After navigating the sewer section, you’ll discover a second safe behind a blocked passage.
Nate Market Package Locker – 087427
Outside the Nate Market in Villa. Find the large parcel locker by the drop-off point to enter the code.
Last Wish Side Quest Safe – 20 07 06
Opened during the “Last Wish” side quest. The safe is located in a destroyed store after tracing the survivor’s note clue.
Farmlands Safe (1) – 11 17 08
Found through the Last Wish questline. Look in the attic of a farmhouse in the Farmlands to locate the safe.
Farmlands Safe (2) – 71 61 45
Also associated with the Farmlands questline. This safe is located in a barn cellar near the main quest path.
Gummy Bears Safe – 18 20 66
Located in a warehouse filled with desks and cupboards. Search for the journal on the desk as an indicator of where the safe is hidden.
Unmarked Safe – 85 20 48
Situated in a random empty apartment. The safe stands on the top floor beside papers that have been spread everywhere and utility equipment.
Taurus Megastore Safe – 22 44 66
Hidden within the Taurus Megastore. Look in the storage room in the rear, behind a stack of crates, to find the safe.
Fibonacci Safe – 34 55 89
Also called the “1123581321” safe. Located in an area of study that is cluttered with books and math scribbles, symbolising the Fibonacci sequence.
New Grain Trailer Safe – 11 20 30
In the Farmlands, ascend the ladder onto a grain trailer. The safe is inside, jammed against an AC vent.
Railway Station Delivery Package Locker – 658335
On the railway station platform. The delivery locker is beside the ticket booth, visible from the tracks.
Golden Pine Motel Safe – 86 15 10
In one of the rooms of the Golden Pine motel. Use the note to the motel located in a drawer nearby to open the safe.
“Don’t Forget” Parcel Locker – 622533
A “Don’t Forget” parcel locker. Located next to the dropbox area of the supermarket.
Homework Safe – 12 18 22
In a student’s apartment. The safe has been concealed within a cluttered desk filled with textbooks and sheets of homework.
Goodbye Letter Safe – 11 24 32
Unlocked with a farewell letter note. Stored in a tiny house on the outskirts of town, sometimes easy to miss.
“Read the Plan” Note Chest
Read the instructions on the “Read the Plan” note, take the key, and open the chest in an unknown stash room.
Treasure Map A4 – Bunker Access Card
Use Treasure Map A4 to find the underground bunker. The prize is an access card kept within.
Treasure Map B4 – Convoy Access Card (Elite Pistol)
The B4 map leads to a site for a military convoy. Open the stash to receive the Elite Pistol reward.
Treasure Map D2 – Key
Make your way to a secret stash marked by the D2 map marker. Your reward is a bunch of elite-level military weapons.
Convoy Access Cards
Random drops from armoured military foes. Farming convoys in the Farmlands is
the quickest means to gather them.
Strauss & Broda Legendary Machete
A secret Easter egg weapon. Knock on the mysterious box 77 times to unlock the machete.
Taurus Gas Station Key
Unlocks the stash within the Taurus Gas Station. Search the back office after being granted the key.
Volatile Trophy Charm – Golden Pine Motel Key
Use Golden Pine’s motel key to unlock an accessible room and take the Volatile Trophy Charm. The key is bugged at the moment so walk through the wall to access it.
